This is a reminder as we approach the end of the school year.
The exam exemption policy from the Jordan Student and Faculty handbooks:
Final Exam Exemptions/ Attendance Incentive- Exam Exemption Board Policy-4106
High school students may be exempt from their Teacher-made exams, non-EOC or VoCATS final exams if they meet one of the following conditions:
For A/B day schools:
- Have an “A” average and no more than 3 absences in that course.
- Have a “B” average and no more than 2 absences in that course.
- EOC’s, CTE’s, MSL’s and Common Exams are MANDATORY. Exemptions are NOT offered.
Final exams for Spanish (and French) 1, 2, and 3 were revamped and written at the district level and are now Common Exams instead of teacher-made. Students may no longer exempt out of the final exam in these classes and should make every effort to begin reviewing old material, seeking tutoring or other support, and preparing for this cumulative exam that counts for 20% of the student's final grade.
